Rain began to fall during the first Qualifying session for the International Super Cup in KZ2. Alexandre Arrue (Praga / Parilla) was the fastest with 52” 486 while the track was still dry, ahead of Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) and Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM). Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM) was fourth ahead Kristijan Habulin (CRG / Modena) and Xen De Ruwe (CRG / Maxter).
The rain had stopped for the second session, the track was still wet but it was slicks for the vast majority of the competitors. A few drops spiced up the final minutes. Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) set the fastest time at the very end of the session with a lap of 53” 298 ahead of Marijn Kremers (Birel / TM) by 4 thousandths and Ben Barnicoat (ART GP / TM) by 12 thousandths. Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished eighth, Eric Ramon (Intrepid / Modena) 10th, Julien Poncelet (ART GP / TM), ahead for a long time at the beginning of the session, in 13th ahead of Yan Pesce (Energy / Parilla). European Champion Emil Antonsen (DR / TM) was only 22nd, 1.3” off pole in the group.
The third session was faster than the previous one. Times came down significantly until the return of the rain a minute from the end. Paul David (Tony Kart / Modena) did well with excellent drive to 52” 697, ahead of the New Zealander Daniel Bray (GP / TM) by 0.169” and Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / TM) by 2/10. Next were Thierry Lolmède (RK / TM) and Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla).
The overall pole position went to Alexandre Arrue (Praga / Parilla), the positions were alternated because of the showers and the leaders of the other two sessions were also French.
